The Grade Four classes will be going to Edworthy Park on Thursday, September 29th. I apologize for the late notice, but "someone" neglected to send forms home on Thursday. I handed out as many as I could at Conferences but, if you did not receive one yet, expect it on Monday.
In Mathematics we are focusing on exploring, identifying, extending, reproducing, comparing and representing patterns. For example, we used the 100s chart below to help us solve the following problem: In a parade of 100 clowns, every 2nd clown has a red nose and every third clown is wearing glasses. How many clowns have a red nose and are wearing glasses? This link will take you to an interactive 100s chart that can be used to solve this problem and explore other patterns.

We are up and running! Welcome to the Blog Page for Grade Four, Room 18. This will be the place to find out what fun and interesting things are happening in our classroom. I would like to thank all of the students and the parents that I've met or communicated with so far, for making my first couple of weeks so enjoyable. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year!
